He is now in stable condition, and the family has released a statement.
Basketball star LeBron James' son has suffered cardiac arrest during a basketball workout at his college. Bronny James, 18, is a star basketball player at USC, where the incident occurred. A 911 call was made on Monday night from USC's Galen Center, according to news reports. 
Bronny was taken to the hospital and is now in stable condition. It is unclear what causes the episode.
The following statement was released: "We ask for respect and privacy for the James family and we will update media when there is more information. LeBron and Savannah wish to publicly send their deepest thanks and appreciation to the USC medical and athletic staff for their incredible work and dedication to the safety of their athletes."
