Hsu GL et al. – All patients reported satisfactory penile morphology postoperatively. In the IIEF group, the difference in pre–operative and post–operative scores was significant. In the non–IIEF group two out of the 3 patients reported natural coitus. This series of salvaging venous surgeries, though technically challenging, are helpful in correcting penile deformity and restoring erectile function in some patients who had poorer outcomes from previous venous surgeries.

| This series is a report of a refined penile venous stripping surgery on patients who underwent venous surgery elsewhere since 1986. Gratefully those experiences have inspired us to better understand the human penile anatomy which includes penile fibro-skeleton, penile venous anatomy and integral relationship between the skeletal muscle and the smooth muscle in recent decades. These provide a structure-based development of treatment strategies for remedying male sexual dysfunction. |
