Blunt Pelvic Trauma Resulting in Unilateral Ruptured Testicle: A Case Report and Review of the Literature

Herrera FA et al. - Testicular rupture occurs as a result of either blunt or penetrating trauma. Early surgical repair provides the best opportunity for testicular salvage. Orchiectomy is rarely necessary with early surgical exploration. Scrotal ultrasonography is useful in confirming suspicions of testicular trauma, but should not delay surgical exploration.
