Brister K et al. - Mycophenolate mofetil (MMF) and enteric-coated mycophenolate sodium (EC-MPS) are bioequivalent. However, the effectiveness of MMF may be limited by gastrointestinal (GI) side effects. Patients receiving MMF required more immunosuppressive medication adjustments, which may complicate care and decrease overall compliance.
