Cocchiara G et al. - Informed consent should not be a mere bureaucratic formality to be obtained casually, but should be carefully stipulated together with the patient by the transplant surgeon. It is, in fact, an indispensable condition for transforming a potentially illegal action, that is, the violation of an individual's psychophysical integrity, into a legal one.
