Rink M et al. - The authors report a well-documented case of high grade aggressive bladder cancer with paraneoplastic elevation of granulocyte colony-stimulating factor and parathyroid hormone-related protein. Serum levels of calcium and white blood cell count were highly increased, whereas parathyroid hormone level was slightly decreased. The altered blood levels correlated well with a decrease of vigilance.
