Journal of Surgical Oncology, 05/11/09
Marangos IP et al. - Laparoscopic adrenalectomy for metastases is feasible regardless of their sizes. However these procedures should be performed by highly skilled laparoscopic surgeon in a fully equipped operating room and with a coordinated operation team.

Dear MDLinx Editorial team, thank you for your attention to our article! We agree with your comments. We would like to notice that one of our main ideas was to show that patients with malignant disease in anamnesis and newly revealed neoplasm inthe adrenal glands should be operated as fast as possible. It is a high chance (76%) in our study that those lesions are metastasis from the previous malignant disease. We belive that this guideline can improve survival. |
