An Unusual Case Of A Patient With Extreme Fixed Neck Flexion Presenting For Emergency Abdominal Surgery
Middle East Journal of Anesthesiology, 10/26/09
Oleyar M et al. – Awake fiberoptic intubation may be the safest approach for placement of an endotracheal tube in a patient with severe neck flexion. Cricothyroid puncture for topicalization and/or establishing an airway may not be possible.
