Streu R et al. – Within plastic surgery, post–mastectomy breast reconstruction is not the only area that may positively influence the course of a patient's suffering. Documentation of significant improvements in psychosocial well–being and the relief of patient suffering helps physicians and health policy leaders advocate for third–party coverage of reconstructive procedures.
