minilaparoscopic herniorrhaphy is superior to open herniotomy not only in post-operative pain, cosmetic results and post-perative recovery, but also innately a minimal invasive procedure for its way of approach and internal inguinal ring dissection. However, a large scale prospective trial was mandatory to prove to its superiority.
