Matsui A et al. – Quantitation of fluorescence intensities by near–infrared angiography accurately characterizes arterial and venous compromise. The authors' technique can assess perfusion characteristics during the intraoperative and postoperative periods and therefore complements clinically based subjective criteria now used for flap assessment.
