Geyer JT et al. – Beta–catenin and KRAS mutations, and MSI were strongly associated with low–grade EOC. In contrast, p53 overexpression characterized high–grade EOC, with no other molecular alterations present in the vast majority of these tumors. On the basis of these results, the authors suggest that there may also be a dual pathogenetic pathway for EOC.
