Wong VWY et al. – A 52–year–old woman had a chest radiograph performed for dysphagia. Apart from the related esophageal abnormality, another striking feature was noted: free gas under the diaphragm. The patient, however, complained of no other gastrointestinal symptom and showed no sign of peritonism.
