Diffuse coronary artery spasm treated by extracorporeal membrane oxygenation
European Journal of Cardio-Thoracic Surgery, 07/01/09
Smith C et al. - The authors present a case in which re-grafting and extracorporeal membranous oxygenation proved successful in restoring cardiac function in a patient with diffuse coronary artery spasm.
Chez Smith, 07/14/09
| This case was interesting for two reasons. First it highlights diffuse coronary vasospasm as a potentially fatal post-operative complication. Secondly it provides an example of management using re-grafting in conjunction with extracorporeal membranous oxygenation. |
