Effect of sympathectomy level on the incidence of compensatory hyperhidrosis after sympathectomy for palmar hyperhidrosis - Corrected Proof
The Journal of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery, 07/02/09
Miller D et al. - Compensatory hyperhidrosis continues to occur after sympathectomy for palmar hyperhidrosis; however, a significant reduction in incidence can be achieved by dividing the sympathetic chain at a single level (T2). Patients who are older and/or have increased body mass index should be warned of their increased risk of compensatory hyperhidrosis after sympathectomy.
