Butte JM et al. - A 54-year-old man on palliative treatment for disseminated cutaneous malignant melanoma presented with abdominal pain and abdominal distention. A computed tomography scan showed an area in the distal ileum suggesting intussusceptions. In an exploratory laparotomy, a 10-cm mass was found comprised of the distal ileum that had intussuscepted secondary to the small bowel metastases of melanoma.
