Timing of radiotherapy in head and neck free flap reconstruction – a study of postoperative complications

Halle M et al. - The data show an increased morbidity in free flap surgery in the head and neck region after preoperative radiotherapy. The authors strongly suggest that free flap reconstruction should be performed within 6 weeks of the last radiotherapy session.
