Clarke MCC et al. - Slow transit constipation causes intractable symptoms not responsive to medical treatment. Children have irregular bowel motions, colicky abdominal pain, and frequent soiling. Interferential therapy is a novel therapy for children with STC that improves their self-perceived QOL.
