Vattikuti Institute Prostatectomy: Technical Modifications in 2009
European Urology, 06/10/09
Menon M et al. - Three modifications to the robotic prostatectomy have been introduced: superveil nerve sparing, percutaneous suprapubic tube placement, and limited internal iliac/obturator lymphadenectomy. These techniques respectively result in earlier return of erectile function, decreased postoperative patient discomfort, and greater node positivity.
