Boehringer’s NPWT System was first launched in 2007 and is both a technology and engineering solution that utilizes the application of negative pressure to a wound to promote healing by creating controlled tissue strain and removing excess fluid, including wound exudate. Every aspect of the system from the wound interface to the user interface has been designed to attain optimal clinical and economic outcomes as well as simplified application and monitoring system for patient care.
