Bomberg H et al. – Cardiopulmonary bypass leads to microvascular impairment of jejunal microcirculation, which is associated with the upregulation of endothelin–1 and endothelin subtype A. The administration of vasopressin minimizes these cardiopulmonary bypass–associated alterations.
