Movahed MR et al. – The age–adjusted in–hospital mortality rate from coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) has been declining steadily and reached its lowest level in 2004, irrespective of comorbidities. This decline most likely reflects advances in surgical techniques and the use of evidence–based medicine in patients undergoing CABG.
