Antinucleosome antibodies in juvenile chronic arthritis

Nisihara RM et al. – No significant association among antinucleosome and JCA form, uveitis, age of onset, gender, or functional index was found. We conclude that in JCA, there is a prevalence of 33.3% of antinucleosome antibodies.
Methods- Searched for antinucleosome antibodies in 30 adult JCA patients and studied possible associations with clinical profile
- 10 individuals positive for antinucleosome antibodies
- 7 were simultaneously ANA positive
- No significant association among antinucleosome and JCA form, uveitis, age of onset, gender, or functional index was found
