Bekci T et al. – Pleuropulmonary involvement is an uncommon event in the course of ankylosing spondylitis (AS). Apical fibrosis, interstitial infiltrates, and pleural thickening were considered to be the main patterns. However, the presence of cavity is very rare in AS. Here, the authors report an AS case with aspergilloma, which has been successfully treated with itraconazole.
