Treatment of intractable pulmonary hemorrhage in two patients with childhood systemic lupus erythematosus

Moradinejad MH et al. - This report presents two cases of childhood systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) with recurrent pulmonary hemorrhage, which were unresponsive to treatment with high-dose corticosteroids, cytotoxic therapy, IVIG, plasmaphoresis, and supportive therapy, but responded to IV mycophenolate mofetil. A multimodal therapy including mycophenolate mofetil was effective in treatment of these 2 children.
