Methods- Study to analyze and compare the effects of MLDT and CTM in women with primary fibromyalgia (PFM)
- 50 women, divided randomly into 2 groups
- 25 of them received MLDT, the other 25 underwent CTM
- Treatment program carried out 5 times/wk for 3 wks in each group
- Pain was evaluated by a VAS and algometry
- In both groups, improvements were found regarding pain intensity, pain pressure threshold, and HRQoL
- However, the scores of FIQ-7, FIQ-9, and FIQ-total were lower in MLDT group than CTM group at the end of treatment
