Jain N et al. - A 40 years male, chronic alcoholic, hypothyroid and hypertensive, presented with long-standing polyarticular joint pain and tophi with resultant difficulty in walking and pain in the left gluteal region. He was found to have involvement of both sacroiliac joints, left hip joint, ankles, knees, hands and elbows. The patient improved with steroids and colchicine; allopurinol was continued in preadmission dosage.
