Hoag J et al - Fibrosing mediastinitis is associated with deposition of excessive fibrous tissue leading to compression or constriction of mediastinal structures. The condition most commonly stems from mycobacterial or fungal infection. Isolated tracheobronchial amyloidosis is an extremely rare condition associated with the interposition of amyloid protein in the airway walls. We present a case of endobronchial amyloidosis in a patient with prior history of fibrosing mediastinitis, a combination not previously described.
