Lymphadenopathy Due to Amyloidosis Secondary to Sjogren Syndrome and Systemic Lupus Erythematosus Detected by F-18 FDG PET
Clinical Nuclear Medicine , 10/26/07
Serizawa, I., et al. - We report a case showing lymphadenopathy due to amyloidosis secondary to Sjogren syndrome and systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). The amyloid lymphadenopathy was detected by positron emission tomography (PET) as faint but significant uptake of F-18 fluorodeoxyglucose (FDG). Lymph node amyloidoses after SLE are probably unusual, and those secondary to Sjogren syndrome remain rare. FDG-PET findings of amyloidosis have been exclusively described with pulmonary amyloidomas
