Cardiac valve replacement in patients with antiphospholipid syndrome

Erdozain JG et al. – Morbidity and mortality was high in antiphospholipid syndrome (APS) patients undergoing valve replacement surgery. Most complications were related to thrombosis and bleeding. Anticoagulation must be carefully monitored to prevent hemorrhagic and thrombotic complications.
