Hydatid cyst disease in a renal allograft recipient
Saudi Journal of Kidney Diseases and Transplantation, 11/10/09
Sqalli TH et al. – The authors report the first case of hydatid cyst disease in a kidney–transplanted patient, treated by surgical removal of the cyst and perioperative albendazole. The interaction between albendazole and immunosuppressive drugs needs close therapeutic monitoring. No recurrence of hydatidosis occurred during 4 years' follow–up.
