Usefulness of Age and Gender in the Early Triage of Patients With Acute Chest Pain Having Cardiac Computed Tomographic Angiography
The American Journal of Cardiology, 10/21/09
Bamberg F et al. – The present analysis provides initial evidence that men <55 years and women <65 years might benefit more from cardiac CTA than older patients. Thus, age and gender might serve as simple criteria to appropriately select patients who would derive the greatest diagnostic benefit from coronary CTA in the setting of acute chest pain.
