Chordoma of the Lumbar Spine Presenting as Sciatica and Treated with Vertebroplasty
Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology, 09/25/09
Chatterjee S et al. – Vertebroplasty was performed and resulted in immediate pain relief. For patients with painful lumbar chordoma who are unwilling to undergo surgery, vertebroplasty can play a palliative role as in patients with other vertebral lesions. Treating pain and stabilizing vertebra by way of vertebroplasty in a case of chordoma has not yet been reported.
