Endovascular Repair of an Arteriovenous Fistula after Intervertebral Disk Surgery
Journal of Vascular and Interventional Radiology, 09/16/09
Geraghty S et al. – The authors report the delayed diagnosis of an arteriovenous fistula following disk surgery that led to advanced congestive failure and pulmonary hypertension mistakenly attributed to hepatic failure. Because endovascular repair offers complete resolution, accurate diagnosis is essential. The authors review the vascular injuries that can occur with disk surgery and the successful outcome with endovascular repair.
