Enlargement of the Common Bile Duct in Patients With Acute Graft-Versus-Host Disease: What Does It Mean
American Journal of Roentgenology, 08/25/09
Ketelsen D et al. – Temporary dilatation of the common bile duct seems to be a common finding in gastrointestinal GVHD after hematopoietic stem cell transplantation and correlates with bilirubin concentration. This knowledge of fluctuation in bile duct diameter can help to avoid unnecessary tests to evaluate for pathologic causes of biliary dilatation.
