Zacarias AS et al. – The authors also compare the results of this superficial dose compensation method to the results of a recursive method of dose correction that authors developed in–house to correct optimization convergence errors in static intensity–modulated radiation therapy treatment plans. The results show that up to 4 arcs may be necessary to provide uniform dose to the surface of the PTV with the current version of the PRO.
