Ikeda O et al. – The authors report a 12–year–old girl who had received a living donor liver transplant and suffered melena due to ruptured mesenteric varices. The authors addressed treatment of the mesenteric varices by retrograde transvenous obliteration of an abdominal wall collateral vein detected by superior mesenteric arteriography.
