Liodakis E et al. - The presented data suggests that MRI scans are not routinely necessary as an indication for knee arthroscopy, as clinical examination and plain radiograph are sufficient. However, MRI scans do allow a more detailed characterization of the expected findings and can therefore be helpful in therapy planning.
