Wieneke H et al. - Microvascular dysfunction by itself seems to cause regional myocardial hypoperfusion, as documented by myocardial scintigraphy. When interpreting pathological scintigraphic results in patients without significant epicardial stenosis, true blood flow and myocardial perfusion abnormalities must be assumed.
