Group Readies Mammography Database

The American College of Radiology in July will go live with a database to support mammography best practices. The National Mammography Database will enable mammography facilities to compare their performance and outcomes to similar facilities, according to the Reston, Va.-based organization. The database will support benchmarking of such issues as cancer detection rates, positive prediction values and recall rates.
