Kim HJ et al. – The usefulness of intraoperative facial electromyography (EMG) and brainstem auditory evoked potential is limited and cannot predict Delayed facial palsy after microvascular decompression for hemifacial spasm. The authors speculate that DFP after microvascular decompression is not associated with permanent nerve damage according to the EMG findings.
