Polycystic ovaries at ultrasound: normal variant or silent Polycystic Ovary Syndrome?
Ultrasound in Obstetrics & Gynecology, 05/31/2012
Catteau–Jonard S et al. – Polycystic ovaries (PCO) is an abnormal condition that differs from controls not by hyperandrogenism but by higher AMH serum levels suggesting a granulosa cell abnormality in PCO, as observed in PCOS. The absence of hyperandrogenism in PCO does not seem linked to the metabolic status.
