Chen F et al. – A 19–year–old man with cystic fibrosis, who was on extracorporeal membrane oxygenation, underwent bilateral lung transplantation from a donor with glioblastoma multiforme. Because the risk of tumor transmission from donor–related central nervous system malignancies remains unclear, the use of these extended donors remains controversial.
