Gessman LM et al. – Current limitations in diagnosis and management of this disease render CAP in children a challenge for the pediatrician and family physician. In addition, antimicrobial resistance has complicated treatment decisions. This article reviews the diagnosis and management of pediatric CAP and discusses the role of prevention.
