Balasubramanian S et al. - Synthetic peptides corresponding to this region of MPN EF-Tu block both recombinant MPN EF-Tu and radiolabeled M. pneumoniae cell binding to Fn. MG EF-Tu 340-358 peptides exhibit minimal blocking activity, reinforcing the specificity of EF-Tu-Fn interactions as mediators of microbial colonization and tissue tropism.
