Wu S et al. - The data demonstrate that over-expression of CTGF disrupts alveologenesis and capillary formation, and induces fibrosis during the critical period of alveolar developmental. These histological changes are similar to those observed in lungs of infants with bronchopulmonary dysplasia (BPD).
