El Mouzan M et al. - Analysis of consanguinity status of the parents of children with asthma and parents among controls indicates that 71/140 of the children with asthma and 163/295 of the children from controls had positive parental overall consanguinity. The results of this study suggest that parental consanguinity does not increase the risk of bronchial asthma in children.
