Henzler T et al. – Lung cancer remains the leading cause of cancer mortality worldwide. Only 7% of patients will survive five years. At the time of diagnosis most patients already will have advanced disease and may only be treated by palliation. However, ongoing developments of chemotherapy and the availability of targeted therapies have improved the survival of patients with NSCLC.
