Lung Cancer, 01/10/2008

Bae SH et al. - In a trial to evaluate the efficacy and safety of biweekly irinotecan and cisplatin (IP) in patients with extensive stage disease (ED) small-cell lung cancer (SCLC), it was shown that the combination chemotherapy was well tolerated and effective in patients with ED SCLC

Methods

Results
  • 35 patients were enrolled in this study
  • 3 complete responses and 23 partial responses were confirmed, giving an overall response rate of 74.3%
  • After a median of 15.1 months, the median time to progression and overall survival were 7.7 and 12.2 months, respectively
