Psychophysiological disorders among buprenorphine patients
International Journal of Psychiatry in Clinical Practice, 09/02/09
Sansone RA et al. – The authors examined the prevalence of 14 psychophysiological disorders among 114 opioid–dependent individuals as well as the relationship between these disorders and borderline personality. In the aftermath of analyses, only migraine headaches and chronic pain demonstrated relatively high frequency rates in this sample. Only migraine headaches showed a significant relationship with the diagnosis of borderline personality symptoms. In conclusion, in an opioid–dependent population, the prevalence of psychophysiological disorders appears to be rather unremarkable.
